NOURISH TOGETHER EMERGED FROM PETER “NICK” AND THAIS’ SHARED GOAL OF PROVIDING A HEALING SPACE FOR LASTING CHANGE. We bring together food and the psyche in the context of relationships. Bridging nutrition for the body and nourishment for the mind, we work primarily with couples on enhancing relationship, diet, and lifestyle. As we grow more conscious of what we feed our bodies and our psyches, we can heal and deepen our relationship to ourselves, our loved ones, and the world.


Peter Sholley is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. He received his Masters degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), and has more than a decade of experience counseling couples, individuals, families and working with children through sand play therapy. He brings his writing background, musicianship and creativity into the role of therapist. In addition to his work at Nourish Together, Peter has private practices in San Francisco and Santa Rosa.

His interests include neurophysiology, ecopsychology, EMDR, theatre and music.



Thais_inthekitchenThais Harris is a holistic nutrition consultant, teaches nutrition at Bauman College and at Ceres Community Project, and is an avid believer in whole foods and their power to heal.

Thais earned a Bachelor’s degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus in Ecological Footprint and Writing & Research and a certification in Nutrition from Bauman College.

Thais grew up in Southern Brazil, where local and seasonal foods were the main staple in daily life. She saw the beginning of the invasion of processed foods in the neighborhood markets just as she moved to the U.S. Once here she marveled at how easy everything seemed to be: salad: pre-washed; mashed potatoes: powder in a bag; frozen cookie dough: just cut and bake! After opting for the easy-to-make products, Thais gained a considerable amount of weight and started questioning what she was eating (and how, and why). After switching back to a diet based on whole, organic foods, joining a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), and making more conscious lifestyle choices, Thais has been able to achieve the weight balance, energy level, and overall well being she had longed for, and she is ready to help others do the same.

Thais is on a journey to improve the way she shows up for herself and – by consequence – for everyone she comes into contact with, with more mindfulness and presence. She is inspired by Nick everyday to be a clear and loving communicator.
