NOURISH TOGETHER HAS EMERGED IN THE LAST 8 YEARS FROM PETER AND THAIS’ SHARED GOAL OF PROVIDING A HEALING SPACE FOR LASTING CHANGE. We bring together food and the psyche in the context of relationships. Bridging nutrition for the body and nourishment for the mind, we work primarily with couples on enhancing relationship, diet, and lifestyle. As we grow more conscious of what we feed our bodies and our psyches, we can heal and deepen our relationship to ourselves, our loved ones, and the world.


Peter Sholley is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. He received his Masters degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), and has 6+ years experience counseling couples, individuals, families and working with children through sand play therapy. He brings his writing background, musicianship and creativity into the role of therapist. In addition to his work at Nourish Together, Peter has private practices in San Francisco and Santa Rosa.

His interests include neurophysiology, ecopsychology, animal-assisted therapies, EMDR, and hypnotherapy.



Thais_inthekitchenThais Harris is a Certified Holistic Nutrition Consultant, graduate of Bauman College in Berkeley, California, and an avid believer in whole foods and their power to heal.

Thais has a Bachelor’s degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus in Ecological Footprint and Writing & Research. She has participated in numerous health-and-nutrition-oriented workshops and retreats, including “Healing Through Food, Gardening, Herbs & Ceremony” with Michelle Vesser at the Occidental Arts & Ecology Center, “Nutrition Essentials for Everyone” at Bauman College, “Yoga & Dolphins” with Karl Straub in Hawaii, “Nutrition and Mental Health” with the Institute for Brain Development, and Ayurveda seminars in the Bay Area.

Thais grew up in Southern Brazil, where local and seasonal foods were the main staple in daily life. She saw the beginning of the invasion of processed foods in the neighborhood markets just as she moved to the U.S. Once here she marveled at how easy everything seemed to be: salad: pre-washed; mashed potatoes: powder in a bag; frozen cookie dough: just cut and bake! After opting for the easy-to-make products, Thais gained a considerable amount of weight and started questioning what she was eating (and how, and why). After switching back to a diet based on whole, organic foods, joining a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), and making more conscious lifestyle choices, Thais has been able to achieve the weight balance, energy level, and overall well being she had longed for, and she is ready to help others do the same.

In addition to her work at Nourish Together, Thais is the Nutrition Education Program Manager for Ceres Community Project, in Sebastopol.
